We all know pollution has always been Delhi’s one of the major problems. Well, as the pollution levels are constantly increasing in the city, it won’t be a bad idea to plant more trees in the city. Therefore, Delhi’s forest department has come up with an idea to develop 11 city forests in the city and we think it’s amazing!
The forest department has promised to develop 11 city forests by the end of this year. It has also ensured that 6 of these forests will be ready by the early monsoon season. The ministry has also directed officials to organise a mega tree plantation program. Isn’t it just great?
The Delhi government has set a target of planting more than 23 lakh trees and shrubs this year and it would try to increase the participation of people, especially children during this drive. Well, we think its a commendable step by the authorities!
