Know It All In 30 Seconds
The auto fares in Delhi aren’t that easy on our pockets. And now the Delhi metro too, is frequently putting up glitch excuses. Too hectic in this sultry summer! Isn’t it? Worry not ‘coz the Delhi transport is all set to roll out 25 new buses this June.
These standard-floor buses will come with hydraulic lifts and are likely to be operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). Transport minister, Kailash Gahlot has assured that more of these buses are gonna hit the streets of Delhi every month, starting June’19.
The Delhi Govt. had floated tenders for 375 out of the 1000 electric buses to be released under the DTC scheme. The pre-bid meeting for the same is to be held on June 3, 2019. Once the first batch of tenders gets a thumbs up, the tenders for the remaining 625 buses are anticipated to be floated as well. It has been reported that DTC would be floating a tender for low-floor CNG buses post the corporation board meet in early June. DTC is procuring low-floor CNG and electric buses with the motto of bringing clean energy in the public transport of the city.
The intro of these new buses into the city streets is such an air of relief for the Delhi peeps! Much kudos to the Delhi Govt. for this great initiative!
