One of the workers at Farzi Cafe recently duped guests of INR 6 lakhs! Can you believe that? Apparently, the worker had been doing this almost every weekend! Scared to your very bones? We know we were!
30 Second Window:
- Do you know what can be done with your card if you leave it unattended? It might just get duplicated and used for other ulterior motives.
- That’s exactly what happened here. The worker, apparently, would take people’s cards and in the pretext of getting the machines, but would, in fact, go have it cloned.
- After which, according to the police, he would then secretly watch the customers punch in their PIN. Of course, later he would use the same PIN to take out more cash.
- This would have continued had HDFC Bank, the issuer of said cards, not filed a complaint. This, of course, came to late for the card holders as the worker had already done this 8-10 times before.
