What’s It All About?
A Foot Over Bridge connecting the Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus Metro station of Pink Line and Dhaula Kuan Metro station of the Airport Line was opened on Saturday (23rd Feb 2019).
DMRC officials report that this foot-overbridge is a technological masterpiece as it has about 22 travelators to help passengers make their journey smoother. There are hardly any other foot-overbridges in India with such advanced travelators.
The bridge is partially covered from the top and has glass railings on the sides. 24-hour CCTV cameras have also been installed inside the bridge for passenger security.
The new foot-over bridge is located along the Ring Road. Interchange facilities have been provided by the Delhi Metro between corridors at 25 distinct locations throughout the network.
It will be easily accessible to travelers from different areas of the city including Ashram, Moti Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Mayur Vihar, and others.
