On August 3rd, a distinguished duo in the bridal fashion industry, Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor launches their intricate Persian Flora collection which was followed by some appetizing ‘Wine and Cheese’. As the name suggests, this immaculate collection has been inspired by Persian handicrafts, shawls and carpets. Anjalee and her husband Arjun went on a trip to West Asia 15 years back and were awed by the things they saw there. This talented duet finds splendour in the smallest of things and this is what inspires them to create fashion. While Arjun is the brains behind the business share, Anjalee is the artistic heart and soul of their joint venture. Their commitment to the art of creating opulent and sensuous designs has made them the most sought after bespoke designers for Bridal couture and red carpet gowns.
This specific collection includes gowns in pastel palettes and those in deeper shades of burgundy, red and fuchsia. The visit planted an idea in Anjalee’s mind and she worked on it for over six months, deciding on the cuts and colours, keeping the current trend in mind. Anjalee with her great taste in bridal fashion blended Persian designs with English florals to give it an authentic global touch. The hottest trend, according to her, is the long trail at the back of the gowns and clean-cut silhouettes for blouses.
Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor have their designer outlets in London, Hong Kong, New Delhi and Mumbai. They recently shifted their outlet in New Delhi from Defence Colony to 1A Qutub Minar considering the growing popularity of this region in terms of luxury bridal designer shopping. The new store is a sight to behold. It’s done up in the most artistic way possible with pastel colours and vintage mirrors.
The Persian Flora collection was showcased at the Madras Bridal Fashion Show 2016 and it is totally worth gawking at. Anjalee and Arjun together have created such beautiful pieces of art for us to look at. This store should be your one stop if you’re planning a wedding and these bridal pieces will not fail to impress you.
