1.Hansraj College
Without any doubt or second thoughts, the Hansraj College has the best DU Canteen.
Literally the boss, be it academics be it co-curricular or be it food, simply put tasty, fresh, hygienic at prices which everyone can afford! The most popular combo is Chocolate Frappe with Grilled Sandwich for just Rs 50. It can seat more than 150 students. Very upbeat music is played, this canteen is also bustling with people. .
2. Hindu College
Second on list comes Hindu College. Known for its atmosphere to accommodate many, serving both veg and Non-Veg dishes at reasonable cheap rates. Lauded for its rajma chawal, samosa, Shahi Paneer and many seasonal fresh fruit juices. PAM stands for Pizzas And More is right opposite the boys hostel, one can always see a flock of students buzzing around the latest events.
3. Ramjas College
Ramjas takes the third place on list, a three floored canteen! The first floor being air-conditioned, an ice cream vendor and Juice corner both right outside the canteen, a five star trained cook. What else can one ask for? Students have a choice to sit in or out. The much in demand dish is Rajma Chawal. The hotckaes here are north Indian dishes and thali.
Most famous dish being French fries served with mint chutney.
4. St. Stephens College
Stephen’s alumnus keeps coming back again and again to the Café, yes it is not a canteen! The most astonishing fact is it still runs like it used to fifty years back. People go gaga over omelets and mince cutlets. The food is also served unusually in china crockery with forks and knives. One can easily make the difference between other colleges and the St. Stephens.

5. Lady Shri Ram College
Lady Shri Ram, a class apart. Most lip smacking fact is it prepares a new sweet dish every day. ‘keema dosa’ is literally the hot cake of place. Apart that Pastries, Tarts, Choco Pie, Cold Coffee, Croissant and Cheese Macaroni is quite famous. Warning: make sure you are legit to be in, they take security seriously.
6. Sri Venkateshwar College
Sri Venkateshwar College, dare not call it Venky infront of academic staff! Even though the canteen is quite small in size it gathers a huge number of crowd. Heaven for Vegetarians, Masala dosa with tangy sambhar take people to south, well taste buds can do wonders. The massive outdoor seating area is quite jam-packed lways.
7. Delhi College of Economics
Delhi College of Economics, known as DSchool besides known for academic courses in Commerce, Sociology and Economic the college is known for its legendary canteen. Most famous for mutton cutlet. Apart that mouth watering Sweets, serves veg and nonveg thali at economical rate, just like the name. Much not known this college hosts the Ratan Tata Library, one of the best libraries in the whole Asia –Pacific.
8. Miranda College
Miranda College It is well said not to mess with a Miranda girl, same goes with the canteen. The infrastructural goes back to its establishment but still is spacious to accommodate many. Has a Nescafe takeaway, a Mother Dairy booth. Keeps up with Non Vegetarian demands, offers variety in the menu like paneer dosawich, somewhere between Dosa and Sandwich. The best part is the outside eating arrangements In the lawn. Almost every students bunk at least a day to chill here in winters.
9. KNC
Kamla Nehru College: mostly known as the mini food court, the place is vibrant. The always in demand food items are Rajma Chawal and Chole Bhature. The most fascinating factor is a section for Chaats, selling Dahi Bhalle, Papri Chaat and Golgappe. No reason left to step out of College campus.
10. SRCC
Shree Ram College of Commerce, finally a list where this college is not in the top three. Though the canteen is under construction, the one right now manages it way to keep students happy somehow. Like the breathtaking competitions the original canteen but it goes without saying the original canteen had the most exquisite menu possible from Indian to continental. Yes, you heard it right they sell amazing Hot Dogs to scrambled eggs.
