Delhi Is Wet Again! Government To Start Issuing Liquor Licenses To 50 Restaurants!
Excise Department has started the process of approving applications of about 50 restaurants for a licence to serve liquor. Delhi Government recently lifted its almost year-long freeze on new licences.
Here’s all you need to know about it –
- In September 2016, the government had decided to suspend giving new licences to restaurants and liquor shops. And now they’re processing the licensing and owners of clubs, pubs and cafes are extremely happy.
- Shutters came down in about 50 restaurant and bars after the excise department knocked at their doors.
- Those who had expired allied licences due to the delay will have to get them again. And this is going to be a special news for all of them who have link with clubs and who are thinking to open a new one in Delhi.
- Many people had shut their idea of opening a new property as they knew that they won’t get a licence to sell liquor but now it’s happening!
