DDA officials are planning to set up a socio-cultural hub in Dwarka, much similar to the India Habitat Centre of South Delhi. This cultural hub, most likely to be named as Dwarka Habitat Center, is anticipated to become the most happening hangout zone of southwest Delhi with oodles of indo-western retail stores, plush restros’, multiplexes and other recreational options.
This new add-on in Dwarka will be a miniature version of a ‘smart hub’ with salient features of a smart city like ITS ( intelligent transportation system). Spanning over a spacious expanse of 21.15 hectares, the socio-cultural hub will boast of a large auditorium and a 5.87 hectares green zone, which will be studded with splash pools, a butterfly park, a herbal garden, an amphitheatre and a children’s park.
The streetscape around the proposed hub, which covers Road No.21 and Dabri-Gurgaon road will also be renovated. One can get down at Dwarka Sector 10 or Dwarka Sector 11 Metro Station ( both fall on the blue line) for heading over to this upcoming habitat centre.
Southwest Delhi peeps! If you’ve got a pash for all that’s creative and ethnic, this new socio-cultural hub is gonna be your ultimate paradise!
