Know It All In 30 Seconds
The Public Works Department(PWD) under ‘green and beautiful capital’ initiative has started planting Rangoon Creepers, known as Madhumalti on all major flyovers across the city.
A creeper usually grows rapidly and this would help the dull concrete structures to transform into green, colorful and beautiful towers soon. These creepers would also help to tackle the the city’s major problem of pollution thereby enhancing the greener portion of the city. These fragrant creepers will bear clusters of pink, white and red blooms that would augment the process of beautifying the city.
The 70 major flyovers that will transform this winter includes flyovers at Moolchand, Chirag Dilli, Oberoi Hotel, Andrews Ganj, Nizamuddin, IIT Delhi, Moti Nagar and others.
