Gurgaon’s Elevated Roads Have Started Cracking 4 Months After Opening

The U-turn & elevated roads at IFFCO Chowk have started cracking barely 4 months after opening! In fact, the cracks are so wide that if you looked carefully, you can see the road below.

So, while NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) claims that these aren’t cracks, instead gaps in slabs that need to be filled. Others, after having seen concrete slabs fall from the Hero Honda Chowk Flyover, are sceptical. Moreover, the cracks are located where the structure curves downwards, making it very dicey for speeding vehicles at this spot.

Additionally, similar cracks have been noticed on an elevated U-turn constructed from Sukhrali to MG Road. Which, by the way, many claim happened due to rise in temperature.

So, the next time you’re travelling to Gurgaon by car, make sure you avoid these places.
