We aren’t yet sure when monsoons are kicking in, but South Delhi Municipal Corporation has already disclosed a 24×7 toll-free helpline no., 1266. to cater to the waterloggin’ issues of the ‘probably soon to arrive’ Monsoons. The same will be activated on June 20, 2019.
A central control room has been set up by the civic agency for enrolling the complaints related to waterlogging. Sanitation squads have been formed in each ward to take actions on the grievances that come from the central control room. Also, 160 portable pumps have been put to service to rule out the waterlogging troubles in low-lying zones.
While the summer swelters are already blazing up the city, this striking wheeze my SDMC can give some respite from the monsoon woes.
