A lot of us miss those 90’s shows such as The Jetsons, The Flinstones, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, The Power Puff Girls and the list has no end. And just like these TV shows, we miss reading our old classic comics and novels. We’re sure all of us have spent endless and sleepless nights reading Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Famous Five, Asterisks, Chacha Chaudhary and Champak. But nowadays it has become next to impossible to buy these old classics. Don’t worry! We have discovered some book stores from where you can buy these!

Nanda Book Place, Nehru Place

Residing in the heart of the IT hub, Nanda Book store is like a pool of knowledge and treasure for those who are looking for childhood novels. This store has all the new novels as well as the old classics. It sells both first and second-hand books. Second-hand books come as cheap as 100/- to 150/- bucks. Isn’t that a jackpot?

Big Book Bazaar, Daryaganj

The price of the books doesn’t matter here, but the weight does. Here you can buy books by kilos. Our favorite children comics and books can be bought at 150/- per kilo and 200/- to 250/- per kilo. It’s their ideology to make books available to everyone irrespective of its price. And the best part is this place remains open 7 days a week!

Jackson Book Store, Paharganj

This store is fondly known as the backpacker’s Ghetto since many travellers, especially foreigner leave their books behind to cut down on luggage. You can find old classic novels in different languages such as French, Spanish and Hebrew. You can buy other English novels and comics too. But their speciality is to sell books in more than 30 languages.

3L Library, Defence Colony

3L Library is one of the oldest book stores in Delhi. It was established in 1960’s and has more than 20,000 books on sale. As the name suggests, you can apply for membership and enjoy an unlimited supply of your favourite classic novels. They also have a DVD library where you can buy and rent DVDs.

Connaught Place

You can spot small sellers selling all kinds of first and second-hand books at reasonable prices. But there is this specific stall next to PVR Plaza that sells these classic novels and comics for 100/- to 200/- bucks. Also on a sidewalk in the F- block is a stall that sells and purchases second-hand books. You can buy books for 80/- to 200/- bucks from there!
