Did you think that the launch of the Aqua Line was the best news ever? Wait until you hear this! In the light of new developments, the Noida development authorities are planning to ensure greater connectivity between Noida and Greater Noida by the linkage of Noida Metro’s Aqua Line with Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line.
The Aqua Line metro service under Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) was experiencing much less ridership than what was expected because it the connectivity with other metro lines was not seamless.By initiating this integration the authorities aim to increase the ease of the commuters. If everything goes as per the plan, passengers will be able to connect through Magenta line to Kalindi Kunj and Blue line to Mayur Vihar area.
While this plan is still on the planning stage, it is being expected that all proposals are likely to be taken to an upcoming board meeting of Greater Noida Authority scheduled on May 31 before being forwarded to the state government for further action including preparing of detailed project reports (DPR) and funding pattern.
Finally, Greater Noida residents will be able to make the most of the blessing that the metro is!
