NDMC Opens Its First Open Air Cafe In CP After Banning Rest

New Delhi Municipal Corporation recently inaugurated its first ever open air cafe in Connaught Place! The cafe has opened on a trial basis near Palika Bazar.

• The cafe opened to heavy criticism since 25 rooftop cafes in various restaurants were sealed.
• According to Priyank Sukhija, NDMC had informed the various properties that rooftops were illegal as they didn’t have outdoor dining policy.

NDMC has opened its open air cafe despite the rest, that’s rather odd, don’t you think. Consider this – the reason NDMC shut the rooftop cafes was due to the collapse of C Block. They said this threatened the safety of guests. Yet, they have opened their own open air cafe.

Now, all the restaurateurs say that Cafe NDMC sits on a rooftop. That’s rather unfair, don’t you think?
