Parking fee and diesel generators will be banned in to fight pollution in Delhi from Monday. In recent news, the government had talked about dishing out a new plan – Graded Response Action Plan – that will lay down stringent measures.
In fact, the worsening condition of air pollution in the capital region prompted the conceptualisation of the plan. The burning of crops was also seen as one of the reasons behind the plan! Moreover, the weather department has already predicted a shift in the wind direction.
GRAP will also entail the following few restrictions:
- Odd-even road rationing
- A ban on construction activity if air quality worsens
