Know It All In 30 Seconds
Delhi has been at the receiving end of a lot of infamies owing to its never-ending traffic! But several projects are continually being undertaken to ease traffic and conveyance issues in the city. In recent developments, Rao Tula Ram flyover might be open to the public by mid-June and it will benefit for 2 lakh commuters!
After much delay, Rao Tula Ram flyover will provide relief to people driving to and fro from Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport and South Delhi.
Interestingly, the construction of this flyover began in November 2014 and was supposed to be complete by 2016. Numerous technical, financial and environmental factors contributed to the delay of the flyover construction, permission for felling of trees being the major one of them all. Earlier, it was supposed to be launched by the end of May.
The entire budget of this project has been around Rs 278 crore and it will be a 3-lane flyover starting near Munirka petrol pump and which sloping down around 400 metres from R&R Army Hospital.
Here’s to hoping that there’s no more lag in the inauguration of this flyover and it de-clutters the roads for us Delhiites!
