Over 500 schools of Delhi are all set to get solarized soon after the completion of the prior project of 100 schools. The Education department signed an agreement with the power department, and 21 schools were fitted with solar panels initially on a pilot basis thereby providing a feasibility analysis to put solar panels in 550 more schools of Delhi.
During the initial period it was noticed that the electricity bill of the schools fitted with solar panels was brought down to zero subsequently after the installation solar panels in the pipelines.
