Mulling over the safety of the commuters, DMRC is doin’ the spadework to install steel railings in 7 metro stations, namely Dwarka Sector-21, Vaishali, Mandi House, Huda City Centre, Lajpat Nagar, Central Secretariat and Kashmere Gate.
When the crowd is too thick, there remains a possibility that peeps on the stations cross the safety lines and accidentally fall on the tracks. These steel railings can aid in avoiding such accidents.
The approval has been already grabbed. It’s just a matter of a few months for the entire process to be pulled off. Yet another stupendous initiative by the Delhi Metro indeed!
