The Story Pirates, a nationally respected education and media organisation is conducting a workshop on 9th and 10th March to demonstrate its unique method of teaching. They indulge in the practice of drama technique to teach writing. They turn the stories into sketch comedies or musicals, featuring professional actors to explore how to implement classroom drama in ways that will feel natural and comfortable.
30 Seconds Window:
- The Story Pirates are conducting a workshop to enable teachers to employ some of the innovative methods as how and why they use drama techniques to teach writing,
- They try to make each lesson feel like a live performance tailored specifically for the classroom audience, heightening student engagement, and addressing multiple learning styles in each lesson.
- The facilitators will demonstrate this technique and help teachers to understand that these techniques are not that different from their own best practices as educators.
