Chitkul in Himachal Pradesh is the first village of the Baspa Valley and the last village on the India-Tibet trade route. In fact, that’s not it; Chitkul is also the last point in India to check out without a permit. And, somehow, that just makes us wanna stay here for a bit longer!

Moreover, the small town spreads across the lush green cover of the plains. Where the sun is bright, the tan is absolutely gorgeous and the sweet mountain breeze is unmistakably fresh! You can camp out here or stay at the house of a good Samaritan. Regardless, the place is so high up in the mountains that getting network is sometimes an issue. But that’s exactly why we came here in the first place, right?
