Located in Uttarakhand, Mukteshwar is one of the most gorgeous weekend getaways from Delhi. The snow-capped mountains, serene beauty, people are really warm there. Also, it is filled with overwhelming beauty.

The largest natural lake in Himachal, Renuka lake is a perfect weekend getaway in the lap of nature. The lake is ideal for a family getaway. If you are up for travelling around the lake area, you could even explore the Parshuram Tal and Renuka temple, apart from indulging in boating, sight-seeing and just having a good time with family. Udaipur + Mount Abu

If you are looking for a touch of royalty, head out to Rajasthan for a short trip from Delhi. The mighty palaces and forts take on a rustic hue in the monsoons, head for Udaipur to experience how the Royalty lived. Explore the Monsoon Palace, Bagore ki Haveli, the Lake Palace, take a horse ride around the city or indulge in some shopping in the variety of flea markets. If the city feels a little overwhelming, take a road trip to Mount Abu, the only Hill station here complete with beautiful lakes and gushing waterfalls.

Brij Ghat

Brijghat is the place where you can still see a clean Ganga in its glory. The water is ideal for enjoying a boat ride and the surrounding atmosphere gives you a rustic feel. It would take approximately 3 hours to reach Brijghat from Delhi via road. Do travel to Garhmukteshwar, which is called a smaller version of Varanasi, dotted with several temples.

Palampur + Dharamshala + Mcleodganj

Palampur and Dharamshala (Mcleodganj) of the Kangra Valley are towns blessed with natural beauty. Palampur has the majestic mountains.

Dharamshala is located close to the Dhauladhar range which makes it a starting point for many trekking trails towards the mountains. It also has a lot of waterfalls, lakes, scenic points and ancient temples to see around here.

Mcleodganj is also known as Little Lhasa. This is the most bang for the buck that you can get for a short trip near Delhi. For youngsters, Mcleodganj is the perfect place to dope, chill and relax like a nig’!
