We are all well aware of the ‘aftermath’ from last year’s Diwali celebrations. The entire city was covered in smog and it was really, REALLY bad!! This year, however, as a preventive measure 20 additional air monitors will be installed by Diwali in Delhi.
Delhi environment minister Imran Hussain has directed the relevant department to complete the installation of 20 air monitors in the city by Diwali. Currently, there are six ambient air quality monitoring stations managed by DPCC. The new stations will help general public to access real time air quality.
