Delhi streets will soon witness a strong fleet of 200 electric buses under Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) . Initially an application to bring 1000 buses under the FAME(Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) scheme is submitted.

It was reported that out of the proposed 1000 buses, that will be inducted, 900 would be used for city services and 100 buses will be pressed into inter-state services. The supporting infrastructure for charging electric buses would also be created and the entire load of the scheme won’t come in a single go as the buses will be brought in different phases.
