So, we found you few places that every Delhiite and every GoT fan must know about! Why, did you ask? Because these places might as well be a surreal version of the Game of Thrones world!
I. Key Monastery, Spiti Valley
Kye Gompa is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on top of a hill at an altitude of 4,166 metres above sea level, close to the Spiti River. The surreal environment with snow capped peaks around the Monastery that make it look like Winterfell and maybe even Moat Cailin. You be the judge!
II. Udaipur, Rajasthan
The city that unbelievably looks like Dorne has the palace sitting in the middle of a veritable castle that looks majestic and never fails to awe-inspire us!
III. Jaisalmer, Rajasthan
Surrounded mostly by the desert, Jaisalmer is home to some of the biggest castles in India! And the dessert surrounding every square inch of its magnificent enormity is akin to the Red Waste at Qarth in Games of Thrones. What do you think?
IV. Neral-Matheran
Serpentine roads and a long around the mountain passes around Neral-Matheran road is possibly one of the most dangerous roads to walk! With an eerie similarity to Eyrie, the entire stretch is filled with tons of twists and turns that make the walk down this road look like you were leaving for Eyrie – Lysa Arryn’s stronghold!
