During September this year, the Delhi government launched doorstep delivery of services and in the first phase, they had launched 40 services that cost ₹50 each. The Delhi government is all set to launch the second phase of doorstep delivery of services project taking the total number of services available under the scheme to 70!
On the basis of the experience of the past five months, some changes have been made to ensure that the applicants don’t face difficulties while enquiring about or booking service. It is also kept in mind that the facilitators don’t see problems in dealing with mobile sahayaks. They have also improved its system of tracking mobile sahayaks to give real-time information to an applicant about the facilitator’s arrival at his doorstep.
From booking the appointment till the document they have booked are ready and despatched, the applicants will now get text messages from the call centre at every stage. The applicants will also have the opportunity to reschedule or cancel an appointment a day before the service. According to an estimate, the call centre receives 4,000-4,500 calls a day and books about 1,000 appointments after initial scrutiny.
