As the festive season has just kicked in, most of us will be travelling to see our friends and family. And a lot of Delhiites will be using metro as the most convenient mode of transportation. To facilitate smooth movement of passengers, DMRC is increasing the frequency of metros!
A DMRC official said,
“frequency of trains on all lines was significantly improved to provide enhanced carrying capacity per hour, with the highest increase on the Violet Line from 5 minutes in 2012 to 3 minutes 24 secs in 2017. This has increased the carrying capacity of the line from 12,624 to 27,972 per hour”
Delhi sees a lot of congestion on roads and nowadays in the metros too. But at least the rush in the metro will be far less this season! :’)
