Know-It-All-In 30 Seconds
Formed two years ago, Artists Unite comprises many names behind the #NotInMyName campaign, which took off in order to protest against incidents of lynching. On March 2 & 3 2019, over a hundred musicians and dancers, poets and writers, visual artists, performance and stand-up artists, theatre practitioners and filmmakers, will all gather at the Red Fort, Delhi, in a wave of creative expression, in defense of democracy but against hate.
Who’s Performing?
One of the evening stages will, among others, present singers Shubha Mudgal and Rabbi Shergill, performers Aditi Mangaldas and Astad Deboo, Sheetal Sathe, formerly of Kabir Kala Manch, Delhi Sultanate and stand-up comedian Sanjay Rajoura. A day stage from 11am-4pm is for theatre groups, dastangoi and poetry. There are open mic events, art spaces, and a documentary film tent too,
Why You Must Attend The Event?
The event is one of the biggest platforms that give voices to those wish to speak for democracy but against hatred. The platform has been showcasing major writers, poets, singers, dancers, theatre practitioners and film-makers and it continues to do so.
