This is probably the best news today. Delhi’s premier residential colony, which houses country’s top bureaucrats got a “charge & drive” point for electric vehicles. Many such stations are coming up in town and other major cities that can charge the vehicles in 2 to 6 hours.
A senior official from National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) said, ”the Central government has started the process of buying 10,000 electric vehicles, which will obviously be given to the senior bureaucrats. Considering this government colony has such senior officials there will be more demand for charging station”.
It’s just the beginning. There is a proposal to set 150 more such stations in major cities such as Delhi, Chandigarh and Bangalore.
