Soon it will become compulsory to have coloured stickers according to the fuel used. The year of registration will also be written on the windscreen. Delhi government came u with this plan in order to control the rising pollution in the National Capital.
These coloured stickers will be used to indicate whether the vehicle is powered by petrol, diesel, electric, hydrogen, or hybrid. It will also help the government determine whether the vehicle is a BS V or BS VI compliant.
The ban on outside vehicles from being operated on Delhi roads is being regularly flouted. Thus, the year of registration will be stated on the front of the windscreen. This will help them in getting hold of the cars not allowed to ply on Delhi roads.
Since it is not possible to stop each and every vehicle, having the registration number on the windscreen can prove to be beneficial.
