If you have not yet been introduced to the world of zines, then it’s high time you do! A zine is a small circulation of a self-published magazine that contains original works of art and content. They are usually produced by a single person or a very small group of people, unlike a magazine. To introduce Delhi to the culture, the Gaysi family is holding a zine bazaar in Delhi after a smashing hit in Bombay.
What To Expect At The Zine Bazaar?
At its heart, a bazaar is a space for celebration. With its different sights, scenes, colours, people, and the exchange of thoughts and ideas, a bazaar is a space for collaborations. As people, we have a remarkable quality of foresight and imagination. And this vision of ourselves and the world is greatly coloured by our memories, our dreams, our hopes, our aspirations, and our experiences, which ultimately make our visions unique. It is this triumphant human spirit that we want to explore and celebrate. The theme for this edition of the Bazaar is “Vision”.
What You’ll Love About The Zine Bazaar?
The lineup and highlights of the event are just perfect. A spread of 60+ independent artists and publishers exhibiting their work at a pop up stalls. Design and storytelling workshops, meant to make you challenge what you already know and build skills in new exciting areas.
Bottom Line
The bottom line is that if you are an artist, you understand the feeling of holding your art. The tangibility of art cannot be put into words. Who knows, by the end of all this, you might want to self-produce your own zine! Take this as an inspiration and walk into the bazaar!
