Yess, you read it right! Delhi is one of the six cities to host FIFA U-17 World Cup. There are 4 matches scheduled which will take place in ‘Saddi Dilli’. Wanna know more deets?
This will not be the first time Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium hosts a massive event. First, it was the Commonwealth Games 2010 opening ceremony and now its FIFA U-17 World Cup!! Delhi will soon be home to players from Ghana, United States of America and Colombia. The opening match is on 6th October’17. Since FIFA is concerned about the air pollution in Delhi during Diwali, there won’t be any matches in Delhi after 16th October’17.
