DU students will be studying Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone as part of the English literature syllabus from the new academic session. Five Point Someone will be in the company of fiction novels by Louisa M Alcott, Agatha Christie & JK Rowling.
30 Second Window:
- Five Point Someone will be part of the Popular Fiction paper in the General Elective subjects of English Literature.
- General Elective is offered to second-year undergraduate students pursuing honours & programme courses under the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS).
- The paper will be available to students from any stream who want to take up an elective subject from the English department.
- However, many lecturers said, that the subject will not be offered students studying BA (honours) English. Yet, the choice is still their. Whether to study or not to study the book!
- The approval for the inclusion of the book will or will not be granted by May 1! However, as the past few years of change has shown, the book might just get approved!
