Abolition of Section 377 not just brought a wave of change but also created a revolution for Indian society. The struggle has been immense and to talk about the taboos and mental health of the LGBTQIA community, this place is doing an art-based therapy session followed by a discussion on the same.

What To Expect?

The event ‘Socialspeakeasy’ is about exploring intersectional approaches to mental health awareness, wellbeing, and human rights. It will cover a few ice breakers and a session on practising art-based therapy, followed by a long-awaited discussion on the privileges, vulnerabilities and mental health issues faced by queer-identifying persons.

The moderators :

Unsound project– It is an initiative that aims to create a dialogue for Intersectional mental health. The project attempts to provide comprehensive information on identity issues and mental health problems of intersectionality and facilitate the process of building appropriate coping mechanisms.

Neeraj Mehra- He is a trained professional from TISS Mumbai, The Centre For Health and Mental Health. He has been working with the LGBTQIA community for queer mental health and sexuality. Currently, he is associated with The Loving Hearts Project.
