The Indian Couture Week is back with its 2018 edition and it never looked better! This year, it promises to feature collections inspired by the Victorian Era, Mughal miniature paintings, and European architecture.
Fashion Design Council of India’s Indian Couture Week is 5-day fashion extravaganza that showcases the upcoming collections of some of India’s best designers and is hands-down a treat to the senses of everyone who lives for high-end couture.
The 11th edition of ICW’18 kicks off today, at Taj Palace Delhi, and will showcase renowned designers like Anju Modi, Amit Aggarwal, Rohit Bal, Reynu Taandon, Tarun Tahiliani, Shyamal and Bhumika, Phalguni and Shane Peacock, Rahul Mishra, Pallavi Jaikishan, and Sunit Verma.
The five-day fashion week will feature traditionally modern designs, where vibrant colours will meet the Mughal miniature paintings in designer Rahul Mishra’s collection.
Reynu Taandon’s collection shall feature a blend of pastel tones and floral elements, inspired by contemporary brides who like to take the modern route yet remain in touch with their traditional values.
Designer Amit Aggarwal will be making his debut at the couture week. His collection titled Crystalis is a derivation of words crystal and chrysalis.
Designer Tarun Tahiliani’s creation titled In Elysium celebrates different Indian goddesses while designer Rohit Bal is planning to surprise everyone through his grand finale show at an off-site location.
According to him, his collection will be a result of his efforts, creativity and experience all put together.
