Are you someone who has this compulsive need of getting the accurate details about an event in your life and especially the need to paint a visual for your listeners? Well, Kommune Story Slam has something super cool for you!
Kommune Story Slam has been hosting many story slams in the City by the sea. However, they’re finally hosting a story slam session in Delhi, their FIRST ever here!
So, What Is Kommune Story Slam?
We’ve heard of Slam Poetry before. Story Slam, simply put, storytelling in front of an audience. It could be curated or not, regardless, Kommune Story Slam gives you the stage to be a better storyteller. It gives you the chance to perform in front of a supportive audience, and an opportunity to engage them with your narratorial skills. It gives you a platform to share your experiences and interact with like-minded individuals and of course, to indulge in a joyous experience. They usually keep a theme for every session and this session’s theme is “home“. What does the idea of home mean to you? What memories does it strike in your head? Do you miss home? Do you want to (maybe) runway from home? It could be literally anything from your own life and has to be an original story. Kommune Story Slam is pretty strict against fictional stories, so keep that in mind!
How Can I Participate?
It’s easy peasy! To send your submissions, send in your story with an attachment of the screenshot of your entry ticket at team@kommuneity.co.in with the subject line “Kommune Story Slam: Home”.
What Are The Rules?
- Your story should be non-fictional and completely original. Fictional stories are not allowed.
- They do not encourage reading out your story/ use books/paper/phones for reference.
- The time limit for narrating your story is 5 minutes.
- Stories both in Hindi and English Languages are allowed.
