Know-It-All-In 30 Seconds

The project will completely remove the need for use of paper in all the business transacted by the Parliament and state assemblies. The NeVA (National e-Vidhan Application) project was implemented in Himachal Pradesh on a pilot basis. The authorities had approved implementation of ‘e-Vidhan’ in Delhi Assembly and recommended adoption of the Himachal model.

What’s Happening?

Faced with repeated delays in implementation of the Centre’s project for paperless legislative assemblies in the country, the Delhi Vidhan Sabha has decided to implement the initiative on its own with the financial help of Rs 20 crore from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

The project will be modified to best suit the need of the Delhi Assembly and its members.
