Ozone pollution in Delhi has become a major cause for concern in the last few years. In fact, according to reports, green areas in Delhi-NCR have become more vulnerable in the last few months.
In a nutshell: Ozone Pollutions
CSE collected data on spiked levels of ozone from 31 monitoring stations. In fact, data showed that the O3 had become the dominant pollutant from February to May.
Moreover, in the period under question, on 23 days ozone pollution was reported as the dominant pollutant. However, while the data showed was not comparative to 2017, the geographical spread of the pollutant is a matter of concern.
Matter of concern
A study by Health Effect Institute in 2017 showed that early deaths due to Ozone pollution had jumped to 148% in India.
