Pearl portfolio 2016 is all about creativity defining the future of Design, Fashion and Creative Business by the young graduating stars. The 3-day event in 3 different cities-Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur is designed to be a perfect amalgamation of design, creativity and innovation demonstrated by the students of Pearl Academy. The event hosted seminars and exhibitions by field experts, and took place in Delhi {May 6 – 8} and the same zeal is going to be seen in Jaipur {May 14} and Mumbai {May 13}. Interesting design immersion workshops, focused panel discussions, jaw-dropping students work and groovy flash mobs, the session was thousands times more crazier than one expected and a lot is yet awaited for the other two locations.
Talking about Delhi only a crowd of approximately 7500 people including students, parents and members from the industry fraternity visited the exhibition, to be a part of this magnum opus event. While on the one side exhibition area showcasing the collaborative works of the students was opened to all, the panel discussions and fashion shows were invites-only. A special guest appearance by celebrities like Manish Malhotra, JJ Valaya, Rina Dhaka, Neeraj Manchanda and many more has been scheduled to take the event to a next level by gracing it.
The ideas put up by the students were innovative, out-of-the-box and were depicted in multifarious ways such as installations, explorations, presentations, projects, movies, photographs, ensemble etc. Such was the depth of the student understanding that it wowed the visitors immensely. Mesmerizing ramp shows presented by Pearlites were joyfully graced by the industry leaders, aspiring designers, students and their parents.

In the presence of esteemed panel including Mr. Vikram Banga, LVMH and Ms. Mansi Mehta, Former DGM-Marketing, Genesis Luxury, the academy done their first panel discussion at the event. The discussion came out with very astonishing topics like ‘Has Luxury Gone mass?’ ‘Redefining Retail through Visual Techniques’, ‘Inclusive Innovation by Technology and E-commerce’. The first panel discussion was moderated by Ms. Divya Naggar: ‘Has Luxury gone Mass?’
In order to define the academy students Ms. Priya M. Mathew- School Head calls her students ‘Mustard seeds of the Pearl Academy’, few in number, hard to break and pivotal to bring flavour in the food.
Cumulatively the session of knowledgeable, thrilling and a rejuvenating roller-coaster ride packed with creativity, innovation and ideas is actually sure to be a great success in itself. Event has been grandly designed to conclude at a very high note with awards distribution ceremony for the outstanding and creative work presented by Pearlite.
