South Delhi Municipal Corporation has mandated inclusion of restaurants & hotels in South Delhi under the public toilets tag from April onward! The municipality’s endeavour to provide women with safe public toilets is the reason behind this move.
30 Second Window:
- While the municipality has mandated the order on all hotels & restaurants in the South Delhi, property owners across the south district have shown no interest in this new venture.
- According to many owners the move will violate their basic right of ‘right to admission’. And also create certain security issues since anybody will be able to enter the various properties, without any hesitation.
- However, the municipality believes that this move will ensure safe and clean public toilets’ options. The move will cover more than 4,000 washrooms across South Delhi!
DforDelhi Recommends:
- That April onward – if the mandate is cleared – you use the washrooms in various hotels & restaurants across South Delhi!
But in the meanwhile, we suggest you keep your drinks on the down low & remember to pee before leaving your respective homes!
When: April Onward
