The drive against unauthorised establishments in LSCs (Local Shopping Complexes) will intensify from this week. In fact, the Supreme Court appointed monitoring committee has asked the civic bodies to share a daily report on the sealing drives.
The sealing drive shut down 51 units in Def Col starting December 22nd. Establishments that were using residential properties for commercial uses were closed off and the sealing drive shifted to other major shopping complexes as well.
So, the move to intensify the sealing drive came as the monitoring committee realised that it was going too slow. And that the illegal properties were still running shop.
Now, we don’t know which other properties might be closed off soon, however, we’re keeping our fingers crossed and hoping our favourites don’t get shut!
