A widely recognised & liked play, ‘Skylight’, is coming back to town after a stellar round in December. Oddbird Theatre is gain hosting the masterpiece written by David Hare. The weekend starting from 24th through 26th of February will be ringing with some moving & thought provoking notions.
30 Second Window:
- Skylight is a story and script written by David Hare and its first performance premiered in the West End at the Cottesloe Theatre, London in 1995.
- Winning appraise and appreciation there, Skylight soon premiered in New York City to critical and commercial success.
- Directed by Samar Sarila, this adaptation of the 1995 original is a collaborative effort by Samar and Vidushi Mehra.
- Samar, who also stars in the play along with Vidushi, revive the play for a second run with a script that has not only touched the hearts of audiences in the West but remains as socially and emotionally relevant today as it was then.
“A conversation between lovers becomes so much more than being just about love, struggle and a relationship – a peek into societal norms and politics.”

- That you head for a play that has since inception grown into several productions over the years with its most recent and notable revival being the 2015 Broadway adaptation starring Carry Mulligan and Bill Nighy.
