Earlier this week we had told you that the St. Stephen’s had applied for autonomy. In fact, according to the news, had the college received autonomy, it would have been able to create its own syllabus.
However, what we probably didn’t tell you was that Hindu College too had applied for autonomy.
Yet, in the recent meeting of UGC, the matter was ultimately ditched. Moreover, in the meeting, it was announced that in accordance with the DU Act, no constituent college will be allowed to attain autonomy.
