The ‘ 7 Waste to Wonders’ park is now open in Delhi and the statues are made entirely from waste. How amazing is that? Inaugurated only yesterday, the park The 7 wonders park has replicas of the seven wonders of the world. To name a few, Taj Mahal, Great Pyramid of Giza, Eiffel Tower of Paris, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Christ the Redeemer Statue of Rio De Janeiro and Rome’s Colosseum stand tall at the park as you read.
What To Expect?
- The theme park has sculptures of the seven wonders of the world made of industrial and other kinds of waste. The South Delhi Municipal Corporation is the governing body behind the construction of this park.
- SDMC has built the park which is spread over a land of five acres at Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Van. The nearest metro station to reach here is Hazrat Nizamuddin on the Pink Line of Delhi Metro. It is also near Sarai Kale Khan bus terminal in South-East Delhi
- The ticket is free for the children below the age of three years and for senior citizens above the age of 65. Rs 25 is the entry fee for children between the age group of 3-12 years and for adults, the entry fee is Rs 50.
What You’ll Love?
The replicas of these 7 wonders made out of waste have been given a bright and finished look with old sodium lights installed within them, to highlight their features. SDMC has also installed three windmills in the park, three solar trees and rooftop solar panels. The entire park has been lit up solely through renewable energy.
