When it comes to cricket, we all remember being in awe of Ricky Ponting leading the Australian Cricket Team to the World Cup with three wins. And now the brilliant player has been appointed to coach our home team Delhi Daredevils!
The announcement was made on Thursday by Delhi Daredevils CEO Hemant Dua on Twitter as he welcomed the former Australian captain.
This change was made due to a tiff between BCCI and the former coach of Delhi Daredevils, Rahul Dravid.
Before this Ponting coached Mumbai Indians and also played for them and Kolkata Knight Riders. Ponting is also in talks to take over as the T20 coach for the Australian cricket team.
After the retainment of players like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and Chris Morris ahead of the IPL auctions to be held on January 27-28, 2018 definitely seems to be a promising season for Delhi Daredevils!
