Attention Delhiites, healthcare facilities are gonna take a back seat for a day as doctors in Delhi NCR go on a strike to extend support to Kolkata medicos. As per the Indian Medical Association(IMA), hospitals have withdrawn all non-essential services for the day.
Doctors at the Centre-run Safdarjung Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital, RML Hospital, as well as Delhi government facilities such as GTB Hospital, Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital are joining the strike.
Amidst all this, All India Medical Institute(AIIMS) has decided not to take part in the protest. Hence, they will be welcoming patients. So Delhiites, if you’re planning to visit your doctor today, you might have to drop the plan.
