Yesterday, Noida authorities approved the construction of an elevated road over the Shahdara drain. In fact, the 5.5 km long road will remove traffic on the bottleneck areas of Noida sector 14A, 15A & 16A.
However, since the drain is owned by the Delhi Government, the authority will have to seek its approval before starting construction. Moreover, the elevated road will also seek to save nearly 600 trees – which would have had to be cut down if the Delhi-Noida Link road had been widened.
So, expect a little bit of traffic if the construction commences and while it’ll be short-lived, it’ll save time in the future.
