DMRC recently announced a “large scale renovation” of 21 stations of Delhi’s Metro Red Line. The work will be carried out in phases on these busy corridors soon after the finalization of tenders. Read On!
From exterior beautification to installation of new signage, this renovation will take place on Line 1 covering all the 21 stations ( Rithala- Dilshad Garden) in phases. The scope of the work primarily includes exterior facade renovation, which will comprise of providing color theme, aluminium louvers and structural glazing. The officials informed that among the other works, granite flooring will replace the existing terrazzo flooring at concourse and ground floor levels of these stations.
Exterior development work, including maintenance, beautification of parking areas, footpath and frontage will also be carried out at these stations. An official added that Future activities that are planned include roof sheeting and structural portals painting, replacing old lighting with LED lights. Brace Up Delhiites!
