Hey Fucchas! It’s about time for the fest season in Delhi University. The winter semester in DU is filled with enthusiasm and energy as this semester brings with it the much talked about Delhi University’s fests! The who’s who of Bollywood come around for the amusement of DU students.
Last year the fest season was par excellence. The line up of celebrities was fabulous and their individual performances were breath-taking. Here is a list of must attend DU fests.
- Mecca, Hindu College
Hindu College hosts one of the biggest and best fests in DU. So much so that, over the past few years the footfall in Mecca has increased drastically. Mecca leaves no stone unturned with the no. of activities it conducts and the celebrity line up.
- Crossroads, Shri Ram College of Commerce
It would be a crime to skip this fest in DU. Usually a 3 days long adrenaline filled event, SRCC Crossroads is a must attend. And yes, special mention to their Lit Fest, it has a whole lot of fun-filled artists who leave you with a stomach ache, thanks to all the laughter.
- Nexus, Sri Venkateswara College
When in doubt, head to South campus’ best fest, Nexus. Venki has kept up with its reputation of organising one of the most star studded fests in DU. And not to miss the star highlight, the Battle of the Bands.
- Tarang, Lady Shri Ram College for Women
LSR is where the chicest of women in town can be found. In doubt about the newest fashion trends? Attend Tarang. Craze for off season dandiya? Attend Tarang. And the list goes on and on. As a result, Tarang is by far the trendiest fest in town.
- Renaissance, Kirori Mal College
A restriction free event, Renaissance is one of the biggest fests in North Campus. KMC’s Renaissance is a major crowd puller. The fest plays up with its Dramatics Society and its gender forum.
- Confluence, Hansraj College
The annual college fest of Hansraj ‘Confluence’ has had a major influence in the Delhi University fest trends. It is a laudable event which offers a diverse range of activities. Confluence has never disappointed us and has always had a star studded affair.
Delhi University fests are renowned throughout the country. The celebrity line ups, activites, and events attract students from all over the country. DU fests have created a niche for themselves when it comes to college fests with every passing year, they have only gotten bigger and better.
