Winters are beautiful times when we love curling up under blankets and sipping hot coffee inside our rooms. But we often forget about the less fortunate people for whom winter means suffering and shivering in the cold. The month of January might mean celebrations for the new year for a lot of us, but it is the peak of the winter season. So let’s make another resolution and make sure we donate some blankets and warm clothes to those of us who are less fortunate. Here are 5 NGOs where you can donate.
1. Cloth Box Foundation
Cloth box foundation is one of those NGOs that work with basic necessities. While donating clothes is deeply satisfying, there’s always the niggling apprehension that they won’t reach the right destination. By letting donors actually see the recipients’ via Facebook, CBF solves the problem of transparency with joyful simplicity.

2. Project Sleepwell
Started by law graduates Shiven Varma and Arman Sood, in 2015, Project Sleepwell raises funds to buy and redistribute sleeping bags to the homeless in and around the Delhi NCR region. The project was born out of the idea that it is easier to carry a sleeping bag around, and also because they are more effective in insulating body heat.
