So, the Archaeological Survey of India has picked up new projects to restore & upgrade the Old Fort near Pragati Maidan. In fact, as part of the ‘upgrade project’, the ASI will be building a modern gallery to display artefacts and pottery from ancient India.
The ASI will be upgrading & conserving the Central Antiquity Collection; turning it into a modern gallery. Moreover, the gallery will seek to showcase artefacts and pottery from Harappa, Mohenjodaro, Taxila, Chanhudaro etc.
And guess what? According to the latest study, the CAC has a collection of over 2 lakh artefacts & pottery pieces. Isn’t that absolutely great?
